Situated at Kai Bae Beach, Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort is a 10-minute drive from Ao Sapparod Pier. From there, it is a 30-minute ferry ride to Ao Thammachat Pier and Trat Airport.

The spacious rooms feature private balconies with panoramic views. Each comes with a sofa seating area, TV and minibar. A personal safe and tea/coffee making facilities are provided.

What was the highlight of Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort
The resort itself was great, but the noise at night was almost unbearable.
Booked a Deluxe Ocean View room. Room number 821. Ocean view partially obscured by a large tree, but the room itself was very nice. Spacious. Large bath. Very comfortable bed. Rooms 824 & 825 provided a better view of the ocean/sunset. Breakfast was great. Various types of food. Fresh fruit, rice, cooked dishes, cereals, toast, juices. The resort is situated at the end of the beach so a limited amount of walkthrough foot traffic. Easily able to rent a scooter from the resort for 250 baht/day.
Personally, I’m a light sleeper. If you are like me, and value a restful night’s slumber, do not stay here. Not a knock on the resort, beyond their control, but directly across the road is, ‘Walking Street’. About 12 bars that start up around 8-8:30 and go until very, very late. The 2am curfew that is supposedly in place in Thailand doesn’t seem to apply here. 2 of the 4 nights I was there, there was still music/partying going on at 6am. The Deluxe Ocean View rooms are situated up high on the hill so may be more vulnerable to the noise than those situated at ground level, but the noise was relentless all through the night. Even with ear plugs. If you are looking for somewhere to party all night and then be able to crawl across the road and into your room, then this is the place for you.

Good
Beach -heavenly. Germans can get a bit "beach towel at dawn" but that's nothing new. Staff Infinity pool - barely used and stunning Location - short walk up to lots of bars and restaurants (although opposite is a sex trade walking street) Staff - the ones at the beach front bar. Utterly brilliant.
Room descriptions and photos are deceptive. Our deluxe suite was nothing like the photos and NOT worth the money. Be warned. We downgraded to a garden view room 1st floor and it was great Young girl on reception, trainee, was well out her depth and caused us quite a bit of stress. Infinity pool wasn't fully filled for the first week.

Acceptable
I liked: 1. The beach. The room was close to the beach, and the beach had white, powdery sand. 2. The size of the room. It was large. There was a lot of natural light too. 3. The shower was hot, and the air conditioning was cool.
I didn't like: 1. There was a kettle, but no free coffee :O 2. The bed was very large, because it's two beds they put together. You can feel the sag between the two beds. 3. The ocean itself was rocky, and there were some rocks on the ocean floor. 4. The free breakfast was quite bland in my opinion. They did have yummy pancakes, however they didn't have any syrup though. 5. The cocktails they have are very sweet without a lot of alcohol.
